FAQ
How often should I service my lawn mower?
For regular use, it’s recommended to service your mower at least once a year — ideally before the mowing season begins. This includes checking the oil, cleaning or replacing the air filter, sharpening or replacing blades, and inspecting belts, spark plugs and fuel lines. If you're using your mower heavily or commercially, more frequent servicing may be needed.
Why won’t my lawn mower start?
Common issues include old fuel, a dirty air filter, a faulty spark plug or a flat battery (in electric models). Sometimes it’s as simple as a safety switch being off or stale fuel clogging the carburettor. If you’ve checked the basics and it still won’t start, it may need professional inspection or servicing.
Is it worth repairing an old mower or replacing it?
If your mower has a reliable engine and just needs minor work (like a new blade or spark plug), it’s usually worth repairing. But if it's constantly breaking down, hard to start, or spares are no longer available, replacement might be more cost-effective in the long run. A repair technician can help assess its condition and give you honest advice.
